Waiting for lunch.....

Hello there world. I haven't spoken to you for a while. My life has been awash with eagles and doves and homiletics and bible and small amounts of sleep and large amounts of reading and medium amounts of complaining!

September has been service month for the eagles and doves fellowship and so every saturday has been a service project. This last weekend was habitat for humanity and it was sooo awesome! I haven't been able to do construction work for a long time and so to be able to serve in this manner was really neat. I got to do a variety of jobs including painting, picking up trash, installing bathroom fixtures, cutting molding and installing it. And best of all everyone there had a really good attitude about working. Jesus was really shining in us that day. I think it's something I'd like to do more of.

We also have the eagles/doves retreat comming up and that is going to be great. We are going to florence oregon and will be staying at a church there. It should be a good time to just sit back and hang out. Play a few games and be silly. A much needed break right now for alot of us.

And in conclusion I'd like to state that rob is a good lab monitor....

School...and other spawn of satan.....

Dear world, I am lost. It seems that my return to school was a little busier than anticipated...okay I lied it was alot busier. So here I am busy as school with little time to blog. Even though most of you see me everyday.

anyways here I am at school. I have a tough class load with tons of reading and papers. so I can't say how much I'll make it on here for a while. Hopefully I will be able to update some stuff like..pictures and heresy and other fun things. But for now. Life's a little on hold. So that is my story excuse and sadly the truth.

Weddings and all that.
Hey friends. Today I'm going to give you a brief overview of my sisters wedding.

To start off with she was beautiful. Normally thats kinda a freaky thing to say about your sis but this was her wedding day so its okay :) Her dress was simple and elegant and she wore the same jewelry that my mother did when she married my father. The decorations were great. The gym kinda looked like a 50's prom dance. Tim looked smashing in his tux and so did all the rest of the groomsmen and me the bro of the bride.

Being an usher I had to make sure all the people got to their places on the brides side or groom. I had to sort out who was family who wasn't and so and so. Then the service began

A guy played a song her wrote about love that was pretty cool. I did a reading with the grooms mother because the girl I was supposed to be doing it with never showed and then they said there vows and it was time for the reception. Cheese and crackers, grapes, punch and cake. I had to wait till everyone else had gone through to see my new brother and sister. I had done pretty well throughout the wedding only shedding two tears one from each side. But when I hugged my sister and kissed her on the cheek I lost it. The tears streamed. Not from sadness or joy but from both. And the enormity of it all.

Then it was time to hit the car! cans duct tape, shaving cream, and cream cheese under the door handles :) oh it was glorious.

And then I watched my sis drive away into her new life.

I'm very happy for her. Tim is a good guy he will make her happy.

Besides all that I'm getting a VBS ready this week and preparing to go hiking this thursday. Crazymaker as my youth pastor would say.

But for now I need to prepare for a church board meeting.

Hasta pronto. The 23rd to be exact.

Jake

T minus 18 hours and counting......

Well reality has set it. Somewhat delayed. But that is often normal with me. I'm the kinda guy that gets real nervous just before he steps out on stage. I don't think to much about it before hand. But enough about me.

Today my sister is getting married. Woah! The girl I grew up with and played legos with, fought with, contested with to see who got to put the star on the top of the christmas tree, competed with for possesion of the vcr and what tape was going to be played. She's getting married to some red headed guy who things he loves her enough to lay down his life for her if necessary.

I realize that those of you who will read this don't know me that well even yet. I'm not a very easy to get to know person. Very private in my own way. But hopefully by now you have inklings of how sentimental I am. I watch chick flicks. I love stories of daring and romance. I hold people very dear.

So it's a bit hard to believe this day has really come. I love my sister and pray with all my heart that Her marriage is all it can be with God's help. Part of me is over joyed that she has found her mate and is entering this whole new part of life. But part of me weeps for the girl who argued with me every night as to whose turn it was to wash the dishes.

Well I better get to bed. I have a big day ahead of me and clean up after that. But if you'd like, say a prayer for my sister and her no doubt new husband by time you read this. Pray for them as they start they're new life.

Up for Air...

Dear friends and mortal enemies,

It is my desire to offer a heartfelt apology for my complete lack of blogdom. I have been over my head in youth group activities and I don't even have pictures to show for it :( Still my hit meter tells me you still manage to visit the site at times. I thank you for your loyalty or boredom. Which ever it is. I am looking forward to seeing some of you in three weeks and others of you in four.

As an item of general interest my goldfish are still alive and they still sit and stare at me. I still have beard and have not picked up better grooming habbits. The youth pastor I was replacing has returned and so my job has changed considerably both to my convience and my grief. I am also greatly sorrowed that I am missing the wedding of the studliest stud in existence Chris Roberts. Sadly my job as a pastor/intern came first and sorry fully everything else must come second.

Hopefully I will have some more spare time after this week to be a bit more in depth but my sister is getting married saturday and well. I'm probobly number one candidate for driving around buying everything at the last minute that has been forgotten and is a must have.

With that I must leave you my dearest friends and mortal foes.

adue

Jake who is  to hot and is going to go get some water

Quarantine!

Attention reader! Under no circumstances are you to try and attempt contact at close proximaty to the highly contagiouse individual known as Jacob Bullock. He is carrying a disease of great pestilance. Symptoms include fever, aches, dilerium, and a really nasty soar throat.

Proper precautions have already been taken to assure general safety. It is reported the individual works at a church. He has been temporarily relieved of this postion and is currently not attending sunday services. His mother has been recruited to teach his sunday school class and someone else will have to conduct his responsibilities in the worship service.

We stress there is no reason for alarm. The individual is somewhat cooperative though it is reported he has made several threats directed at his throat threatening to cut it if it doesn't feel better soon. This is offered as a proof of the delirium caused by this obstreperous malady.

It is hoped he will recover soon as his mother has threatened to take him to the doctor. Having about as much of doctors and he ever has wanted. Jake is endevoring to recooperate.
