Greetings everyone who might actaully check back here from time to time :)

One week left of Christmas break and I'm afraid I don't have much to show for the two weeks I've been home. I've studied some greek and made up some support letters for a missions trip I'm going on in may. But I've been incredibly lazy. Sleeping till 10am every day! gasp! lazy lazy me.

So yesterday I went to paradise on mount ranier with my mom and dad. We didn't bring skis or innertubes though so we just walked in the snow, threw snowballs at each other and watched everyone else sledding. but, we might bring our skis next weekend and do some cross country skiing. should be fun!

Well I need to go be productive, so merry Christmas to all of you.

Greetings all! It is a break and I am blogging!

Hello all who still drag yourselves to my blog in hopes I have broken my chain of lethargy and decided to write on my once noble corner of cyberspace. Well okay, it was never thaaaat noble but it was at least ubdated with regularity not resembling the ammount wars won by france(for all of you who think I am prejudice against the french, I am actually part french, but the fact remains they aren't the greatest military victors of all time).

I am off for thanksgiving and whilst I blog my sister and brother and law are over and we are all in preparations for the day of thanksgiving. I have been helping my mother clean all day and have just settled down to some relaxing biblical greek. In fact I am being summoned into the next room.

Catch you on the flipside and have a good thanksgiving all!

Just when you though the best thing to come form pumpkins had a crust!

Well ladies and gentlemen, once again Farrar has through means of glorious combat picked their Pumpkin King. The pumpkin smash was last night. Don't know what a pumpkin smash is? Well image pumpkins thrown off of the roof of a dorm onto a large tarp, beat to a pulp and then used as the grounds for a king-of-the-mat wrestling extravaganza! There must have been 300 spectators there, including the Campus Pastor, and The Schools president and his wife. Being an upper classman I got first dibs on throwing pumpkins off of the roof! Unfortunately while up there I managed to cut my leg quite badly on a vent pipe. Undaunted I still fought.

My costume this year was the old standby, the sleeveless shirt dress. This I wore with french braided hair. I got alot of cat calls from the crowd and I think entertained them a bit. Also I joined the group of guys in the dorm fighting for the honor of a lady. My lady procured at the last minute was Juliet Sena the makeup lady for the play. i displayed her colors(a friendship bracelet) and I found out afterwards she wore a headband in honor of me.

I only came in 11th place out of about 35, but I must say I fought like a mule when they tried to drag me out. Also I must thank Jon Daniels who attempted to save me from being thrown out but was a tad late. All in all the pumpkin smash is one of my all time favorite things to do and I will miss it in the future.

It's been a long time

It's been a long time since I last blogged. Life is busy and with the play and biblical greek and Being Eagles President everything is way to busy for comfort. This saturday is the Chivalry Dinner once again. It should be very nice. All the preparations are arduous though.

It is going to be a hard push to the play. Lots of assignments and little time and lines still shaky to memorize. I've just been lazy on that aspect though.

It's missions conference here this week. It should be fun. The director of my summer linguistics school is here today and I'm hoping to chat with him a bit.

Well I need to get writing.

So where's he been and how did his knuckles get skinned?

when we last left our hero he was fighting his way through the fire swamp with his true love at his side and prince humperdink it hot pursuit.......er or he was eating lunch and procrastinating.....

It's been a while since I've been on. But here's whats up these days...

1. School and alot of it. Lots of homework Senior level classes and papers.

2. Eagles officership is a time consumer. Lots of stuff including dove appreciation week this week that makes our lives alot bussier.

3. The play. Who new a midsummer nights dream would take over my life? Shakespeare is great and acting is fun! Still it does take time.

4. Wasting time in misc. ways. You know staring into space, playing video games. All the classics

In fact at this moment I should be getting a jump on tommorrows homework but I'm sitting here talking to you :) Aren't you lucky.

I wish blogging could be more a part of my life but right now I'm just trying to make life more a part of my life :)

I must leave you now.

Christmas Break is almost over

Hello all you who still read my blog. It is the end of my christmas break and I am sick. I came down with a fever last night and toss and turned the whole night. Besides that I have been reading lots and cleaning out twenty years worth of accumulated junk in my room. It's nice to be on break. I can catch some more rest before this upcomming semester. This semester will hold for me.

Homiletics II (oooooh!  advanced preaching)
Speech (I'm finally getting around to it)
Spiritual Disciplines (nothing like a class to teach me how to be Godly)
Corinthian Epistles (I like Olsen so this should be good)
Geo cultural Research (yeah a 40 page paper! :(
Intercultural communication (this one should be fun)

Well I'm looking forward to seeing all you westerners again. Before you know it we will all be back at western stressed out of our skulls.

Till then me hearties via con dios.

Greetings,

This tuesday finds me a bit groggy and with class in five minutes. I've just taken my ritual nap in the library. The day is cold and windy. The kind of day thats its just nice to sit in front of your window and watch the wind and leaves and all that. Which is probobly what I'll end up doing. I have an entire book to read today for apologetics. Also due to the businesess of my scedule I am dropping a class. It's worship technologies and it's just alot of work and not in my major and so I just don't want to deal with it anymore. I like the stuff I was learning but I wasn't giving it my all.

otherwise life isn't too terribly interesting. I am going to be bogged down with homeowork here on out I think and it should be a growing experience. For those who still read blogs(what homwork are you skipping and or putting off to do this?)

Chivalry doesn't necessarily have anything to do with knee length red socks

Greetings, life is um...busy. This glorious tuesday morning finds our hero sitting in the lab of western baptist college(soon to be corban college but that's a rant for another day) he is tired but feeling better after sleeping for an hour and half in the periodical room of the library. His past weekends activities included CPR class(he can save your life if you wanted him too..he thinks...) also the Chivalry dinner was a great occasion. The doves and eagles in partnership with the dreaded Aramark food services managed to put on the most awesome dinner that he has ever seen in the cafeteria. Also the lecture on Chivalry given by a Dr. Trammel is event in the continuing lives of male western students.

Another interesting and slightly scandalous part of the whole affair was that dancing some how miraculously started towards the end of the dinner.  Reports are not confirmed but some witnesses claim they saw our hero dancing with a mysterious woman in a red dress. The woman didn't get her feet stepped on too much we think.

Thats all our hero has for today. He was change back into mild mannered reporter..er...college student Jake Bullock and give up the whole knee length red sock gag. It's really about time to do your laundry Jacob......

God knows just what you need sometimes..

So, I just got off of an aramark stock shift(the best shift there is!) and well I was feeling rotten when I got up this morning. I stayed up way late last night and then getting up at six thirty and not being able to shower really shot me in the foot. so basically I was zombified. Then I got to walk in the pitch black ice cold and pouring rain to get to aramark and that didn't thrill me either. Still God had something good for me when I got there.

I walk in the doors and scared stacy dayton half to death(I have that effect on people sometimes) and then I noticed she had a little cat in her hands. This cat had made it's way into aramark and slept in a cupboard and was on his way to eviction when I saw him. He was so cute! And friendly as well. When you held him he would lay his head against your shoulder.(insert an "awwwe" here) But I got to hold him and corral him while we figured out what to do. He was the sweetest cat I've seen in a long time. Some family must have dumped him off. The only thing I could see wrong with him was that he had six toes on his right front foot.

anyway yes. I got to hold him and it was really nice. It did alot to improve my mood and get me through the shift.

God is good. He's knows when we needs the little things.
